GRAIN PRODUCTS

Grain products include monocotyledonous plants: wheat, rye, barley, oats, corn, rice, millet, sorghum and buckwheat of buckwheat family. All of these crops are grown primarily for receiving grain – the main agricultural product which is used for production of bread, cereals, pasta and confectionery products.

Corn is also used as an animal feed and as a component in various mixtures - mixed feeds. By-products - the straw and chaff – are mainly used as animal feed and bedding for cattle. Many crops, particularly in mixtures with legumes are grown for forage, hay, haylage and silage.
