Fish oil
FISH OIL is used as feed supplement and has a positive effect on the growth and development of young cattle. It contains polyunsaturated fatty acids which stimulates the production of antibodies, thereby reducing poultry and livestock morbidity, as well as reduces the need for use of chemical compounds as drugs. It contains the complex of vitamins and minerals and helps to produce progesterone (hormone of reproductive system) which helps to improve the reproductive properties of the cattle. On the other hand, an excessive amount of fish oil in the diet of cattle may cause the odor and taste of fish in meat and milk of these animals. In this connection, the percentage of fish meal and fish oil should be under constant control.
